The PHANTOM THEATRE COMPANY is a fictional amateur theatre company that was created as an example of how your new amateur theatre web site could look. All productions are fictitious and any resemblance to any past or future productions by any amateur or professional theatre company, or musical society is purely coincidental.
The PTC was first formed in the late 1800's by a small group of enthusiastic amateur actors and a very talented and creative production team. Today our membership is well into the thousands and we produce 5 shows per year; 2 musicals, 2 plays and our youth groups Christmas phantom-mime held in mid December.
The PTC rehearsal and performance venue includes our own 100 seat studio theatre, set amongst a pristine, fragrant and relaxing country atmosphere with a-la-carte dining and full bar facilities. Every year in January we stage a spectacular open air production called "Starlight Serenade", a compilation of popular past and present musical hits.
If you do not want to take part as an actor, director or be involved in the technical side of amateur theatre, why not become a Phantom Theatre Company member? Membership entitles you to discounted show tickets, advanced notification of our productions, free quarterly newsletter and special invitations to attend many of our member only premiers and social events, including our very popular "Peek Behind the Curtain" backstage theatre tours.
(PTC members please note: The hanging of any of the backstage crew is not permitted!)

Steel Magnolias by Robert Harling
The close-knit women at Truvy's Beauty Salon, the unofficial hub of Chinquapin, have lots of time to gossip. Alternately hilarious and touching, the play focuses on the camaraderie of a group of Southern women who talk, gab, gossip, chitchat, needle and harangue each other through the good times - and cry, caress and comfort one another through the bad.
